FAQ's

Do you have any experience shooting weddings?

Yes! I have experience shooting weddings for almost 10 years with well over 200 under my belt.

Can you provide me with examples of your previous wedding photography work?

Absolutely! If you would like to see more than what is under my portfolio, I’d love to send some recent full galleries your way. Just ask!

What type of equipment do you use?

I primarily shoot with a Canon R5 with a multitude of lenses. I also have plenty of backup and lighting equipment.

Do you have backup equipment in case of failure or technical difficulties?

Yes, I never show up to a wedding without a second camera and extra equipment for those “what if” moments.

Do you work with a second shooter or assistant?

Yes! I will always have someone with me. I have never shot a wedding alone.

How do you handle low-light situations, such as receptions or evening ceremonies?

I always bring external lighting to use for receptions. I can light up the room if needed but usually like to light my subject and then keep the background darker to bring focus to my subject.

Can you provide a timeline of how the day will flow and what to expect from you as the photographer?

I can gladly help with creating a timeline during our consultation. But as far as the day goes, there are two times that are non-negotiable for me…the ceremony time and the reception time. The rest of the day should just flow nice and smooth and let it happen. The best moments are created that way. You only experience this day once, enjoy it.

How many photos can I expect to receive from my wedding day?

There are a lot of variables to how many photos you receive. Such as, how many guest will be in attendance, how many are in the bridal party, how much time Is allowed for portraits, how many people are on the dance floor…alll of these things can affect how many photos you receive but a good rule of thumb is 30-50 per hour hired.

How long after the wedding will I receive my photos?

typically 6-8 weeks

Do you offer any print or album services?

I do. I offer matted prints and custom albums in addition to your wedding images.

Can you provide references or reviews from previous clients?

Absolutely! Just ask and I would be happy to send as many as you would like.

Will you be the one photographing my wedding, or will it be someone else on your team?

I will always be the one to photograph wedding days. I take a lot of pride getting to know my clients and want them to feel comfortable with me.

Will you take formal portraits of the wedding party and family members?

Yes. I will ask for a list of family photos that you would like to have and also include time for the bridal party in the portrait portion of our day together.

Will I receive the full resolution images, and are they edited or raw?

Every image you receive will be edited and they will be high resolution. I highly suggest that you print your images at www.mpix.com. They seem to have the highest quality available as a non professional lab.

Can I request specific shots or poses, or do you prefer to work more organically?

You can definitely request them. I never make promises but do my best to use the images that you share as inspiration to recreate with what works best on your wedding day. I like to have you make a Pinterest board for inspiration only. It gives me an idea of what your looking for and helps me with creativity for your day.

What is your style of photography?

My style is considered colorful, natural and at times a little bold. Every wedding is unique, just as every couple. I treat my style the same. It changes with every wedding.
